ABOUT ME

Ellian Marie

Hello! I’m Ellian (pronounced like Gillian without the “G”). My love for photography began as a little girl with a bright yellow Kodak Crayola camera in hand, capturing everything and everyone around me. Today—with over 15 years of experience behind the lens—that same curiosity and passion drive my work. ​ Originally from Toronto, I am thrilled to now call Connecticut home and serve clients across New England and the Tri-State area. Over the years, my work has spanned intimate family stories, cozy in-home sessions, newborn milestones, lively family gatherings, culinary art, and city events.

My background is as dynamic as the stories I tell. After double-majoring in Psychology and Communication Studies while taking multiple Photography courses in University, I spent some time working in television and media (in front of the camera) as a television host. Later, I transitioned to work as a behavioral therapist teaching children with autism as my 9 to 5, while simultaneously still photographing on weekends. Moving to CT provided the perfect chapter to step behind the camera full-time and dedicate myself entirely to my true passion: creating art through photography.

My goal is simple: to capture your story authentically and preserve who you truly are. Whether I’m documenting couples, growing families, expecting parents, or playful kids, I focus on natural, relaxed moments—no stiff complicated poses or high pressure. Just real connection, genuine laughter, and timeless memories you can hold onto for generations.
